Sodwana Bay
Sodwana Bay, on KwaZulu-Natal's Elephant Coast, is home to some of the southernmost coral reefs in the world, and it's a destination Ecstasea knows better than most — we operated one of the first dive charters here and helped plot much of the reef system divers explore today. Expect warm water, colourful reef fish, and a good chance of turtles, rays and even whale sharks in season. We offer guided reef dive packages with a choice of accommodation to suit every budget.
SOUTHERN MOZAMBIQUE
Southern Mozambique
Just across the border in southern Mozambique, Ponta D'Ouro has grown into a diving mecca for local and international divers — and Ecstasea played a part in making that happen. We funded and built the original Ponta D'Ouro camp site between 1992 and 2003 and helped establish some of the area's earliest dive sites. Ponta Malongane is about 11 km north of Ponta do’ Ouro and today it remains one of our favourite spots to take a group, with warm water diving, big pelagics and a relaxed beach-town atmosphere. Various accommodation options are available to suit couples, families and dive groups.
